a master’s graduate in Informatics (Computer Science), currently based in 📍Munich, Germany.
I have an interest in machine learning and computer vision. I like staying curious and being passionate about learning about the world 🌍 around me.
I am a proud holder of an M.Sc in Computer Science and a B.Sc in Computer Engineering 👩💻. I started my degree as I fell in love with math and decided to learn more about what exists behind the computer programs that we use everyday.
and writing about coding! As I like getting involved in research projects, I read latest research papers concentrated on machine learning, computer vision & natural language processing and share some part of my learnings here. I also enjoy participating tech events, conferences and workshops. I write about my experiences at these events on this blog.
you can find me cycling, discovering new music and reading books.
🚴♀️ Cycling is one of the things that make me happy the most since my childhood. I participated in bike tours and even an MTB race in the past. Recently, I decided to go back to this good old habit of mine and bought myself a low-cost gravel / road bike.
📚 Too many books, too little time! Lately, I came to the realization that even if I read 20 books every year, I can only finish 1000 books in 50 years which is a very little number when you think about all the books that you can find in a library. So, I started to read as regularly as I can. I also write about reading habits & my most recently-read books.
🎹 Discovering new music is one of the things that makes my day. I like looking into my Spotify data (yes – because I’m obsessed with data) and creating playlists based on different genres.
When I first started university, I did not know anything related to coding. For a long time, I felt like everyone was one step ahead of me while trying to keep up with a new class. After I started to feel much more confident and motivated about the classes, I took a look behind me and realized that I was not the only one who experienced such things throughout their degree. Therefore, I wanted to write about what I learned and overcome while studying computer science from a woman’s perspective starting from my first blog post.
I believe that the world of technology is in the need of a diverse community, and I know that there still exists people out there who believe that women do not belong to the field of technology. With this blog, my aim is to share my experiences as a women in tech and what I have recently learned that might as well be interesting to others.
You can also find me on Instagram, Twitter and Mastodon or send me an email to contact me.
Join me through this journey of breaking the stereotypes, staying curious about the world and learning new things about computer science!
